Logan Schmid's award winning chant belies his age of 17 years. Son of Lance and Susie Schmid of Clinton, Logan has the chant of a seasoned veteran. Logan will graduate high school midterm this December. He has been helping his father since he was six years old. "I have grown up to truly love the auction business," says Logan. "I am very excited to have had the chance to compete in ISAA's First Annual Junior Bidcalling Contest." Logan graduated from World Wide College of Auctioneering, Mason City, Iowa, in 2006 and did a refresher course this past July when his sister Abbey attended. He has competed in several contests including the 2009 IJAC at the National Auctioneers Association Conference & Show in Kansas City.
Reserve Champion Logan Karcher of Dahlgren is also 17 years old. The son of Scott and Lorrie Karcher, he is a 2008 graduate of Missouri Auction School following in the footsteps of two uncles and his late grandfather Clarence Karcher. He is a senior at Hamilton County High School, active in various school activities and plays the violin. A highlight for Logan this past year was helping ring at ISAA Hall of Famer Ted Stumpf's estate auction in Mascoutah. |
